Bibliomania: Book Madness — a pop-up exhibit showcasing several rare books from the collections of the Norfolk Library and the Norfolk Historical Society. Bibliomania is a book published in 1809 by Thomas Dibdin, in which he describes The History, The Symptoms, and The Cure, for this Fatal Disease of Book Collecting. On display are the Diary’s of Thomas Robbins, who amassed one of the largest and earliest private libraries in CT. He later donated his collection to the Connecticut Historical Society, in Hartford where the collection remains today. Other examples include Fancy Bindings, Unique Copies, Folio Size Volumes, and True Editions.
